Karen Dahl is a writer, editor, and an operations and communications consultant. She is currently director of external affairs for Curriculum Associates. From 2003-2010, Karen held a variety of leadership positions at Jumpstart, a national early education nonprofit. Most recently, she oversaw government relations and executive communication. Previously, she led the organization’s operations and human resources teams.
Prior to her work with Jumpstart, Karen was deputy to the communications director at the Clinton Foundation. She was also an associate producer and assistant to the president at MSNBC, and assistant to the communications director for Vice President Gore’s presidential campaign in 2000. She started her full-time career as an AmeriCorps VISTA.
Karen holds a master's degree in education from Harvard University and a B.A. in English and French from the University of Connecticut.
