Well, I guess you already know what I have to say. Pish posh. But I have other things to say too, which is that I really thought 7th generation sucked and were a rip off b/c they just dye them brown anyway, plus they still have the weird pellety things so why bother anyway. Tushies are the true "hippie disposable" but, like 7th gen, they don't actually work. We were all about the Whole Foods brand when we used disposables. You might consider cloth for training purposes, I think its one of the things that really helped us. Keep me updated on the toilet training, I hear it can be a lot harder with boys.

I have to tell you that we have also had a diaper debate (me = disposable, k = cloth) and our neighbor turns out to have worked for some environmental company in the past. It turns out that, as you suspect, in terms of impact on the environment they are really a wash because of the amount of hot water it takes to keep cloth diapers clean and the amount of time in the dryer for them to get soft. It's a fact - not just in your head. Financially cloth might be cheaper, but that depends on your electric/hot water bills really. We don't have a dryer here and we rarely use hot water so I won the argument. Not that it is about winning...but yay for me anyway.
